There’s nothing like a toddler who won’t eat! Like, who changes what they love to eat every day like a toddler? NO ONE. Sweet T loves snacking. So much so that breakfast, lunch, and dinner, barely exists. Especially now that #quarantine has taken over the time of our lives.

When she was 12 months, I tried to get her to try everything. One reason is that I am allergic to a bunch of foods and I did not want her to go through what I had experienced as a kid. In my opinion, I believe moms should start testing different foods with their child around 6 months or when they start showing signs of teeth coming through.

Here’s the top snacks I use for Sweet T:

5 Go To Snacks for Picky Toddlers To Eat for your 3 year old

Crackers

Crackers have literally saved my life on many occasions. They have been a saving grace for tantrums and possible breakdowns. You will always, and I mean always, see crackers in Sweet T’s bag. Almost to a point where now all of our friends know that Sweet T loves crackers. She’s particularly fond of these crackers, but make no mistake she will entertain the fishy ones, the white ones (her words, not mine), and the sweet ones.

Fruit or Fruit/Vegetable Pouches

Now if there’s one other thing Sweet T will ask for in addition to any meal at any time of day, it’s fruit. She enjoys pears, grapes, and apples. If we don’t have fruit on hand, there is a guarantee will will have fruit or vegetable pouches. When she was younger, I was so skeptical of her consuming a snack I couldn’t see through the package. But now, that I’m able to see the contents of the pouch, I feel a whole lot better about giving them to her.

Veggie Chips

Sweet T fell in love with veggie chips once she started daycare. She used to come home and ask for ‘the green and orange straws’ for a snack and I had no idea what she was talking about! But after asking her teacher the brand they used in class, (because somehow my child knows when she’s not getting the same quality of veggie chip she’s used to) I couldn’t stop buying them.

Milk

The funny thing about this is I only breastfed Sweet T for 4 months. When she was a baby, my milk was basically a laxative to her. During a check-up at her pediatrician, they recommended that I give her Vitamin D drops. And since I’ve discovered I have some of the same deficiencies, we only drink whole milk now and she LOVES it. Any toddler will be satisfied with a cold glass of milk.

Snack Bars

Any type of nutritious bar for toddlers is always a hit. Sweet T loves this brand and asks for these for snack time and breakfast. They are the perfect snack to give your toddler especially if you are running late on dinner.
