
Black History Month is in full effect and I’m feeling myself (hence no smile in the picture above lol). When I picked out these pieces to build this outfit, I surprised myself. lol After the looking at the photos, I was so impressed with how it turned out. I immediately felt like I should have been apart of the movie “Black Panther”. This look gives all kinds of Wakandian beauty and style!

I’ve been thinking a lot about this month and how I view Black History Month can be viewed in a lot of ways. Yes, it’s a time to reflect on pioneers in our culture but it’s important to acknowledge our heritage as a whole — something like Black Heritage Month!

What I love so much about this outfit is that it’s serious all about the basics. This blazer was on my wishlist for a while and I knew that if I had it, I’d wear it in so many ways. This skirt was from my Summer Sale Haul last year. It’s all about having a focus piece, like this skirt, and then building around the focus piece. A big part of this outfit
