10 Things You Should Do Before You Turn 30

I’m turning 32 in a couple of months and it’s time for a new journey. In my 20s, I was determined. Determined to experience things and live life to my best ability. I’m really happy I had an actual list of things I wanted to accomplish.

Now that it is time for a new journey, I’m taking a look back at what made my 20s so great. These things set me up to view the world differently.

Some of these tips weren’t on my list, but they changed my view on myself, my life, and my surroundings.

Here’s some things I feel you should do before you turn 30 years old:

Fall in Love.

Before you write this tip off, falling in love is something I feel you should do in order to enjoy your 30s. You don’t have to necessarily fall in love with someone you are dating. Fall in love with your life. Your job. Even your body. Fall in love with something so that you know what that energy feels like.

Travel to Europe.

Save your coins and travel. Go see the Eiffel Tower. Go to the Barcelona beaches. Go see Big Ben. Go taste the different foods and live a different culture for a week or two. And if you think it’s expensive, you are holding yourself back. Set a budget and travel and you are set to jet!

Pamper your body.

When I was in my early 20s, I’d always hear women talk about facials and massages and thought how much of a waste of money it was. But obviously I was completely wrong. I experienced this kind treatment of late in the game because again, I thought it was a waste of money. I got my first facial and micro-dermabrasion and my skin has loved my beauty products ever since! And if you feel stress, stop smoking/drinking your stress away and do a pamper me session and get a massage! Thank me later. 😉

Take a road trip.

Grab a friend and hit the road! While you and your partner-in-travel are riding along, make a vow to eat something or somewhere that you never have before. It’s something about the long drive that allows you to talk things out and have an actual conversation.

Go to a concert.

A Beyonce concert, in fact. No seriously. Your life will change and you’ll officially be apart of the Beyhive.

Spend a whole weekend in bed.

If not in bed, then at home. What should you do while you are in bed? Netflix binge. YouTube binge. Read that book you’ve been wanting to read. Just don’t go anywhere and do any chores, unless you HAVE to. You will feel refreshed for the week to come.

Go on a cruise.

First of all, they can be $500.00 or less. All you can eat and traveling at sea all while exploring a new country and culture. It’s a great care-free experience that everyone should do. If you want to be a traveler, a cruise will set the tone of what you want to experience when you travel abroad.

Go to a professional sports game.

Any sports game near you. Soccer, football, basketball, or hockey. Experience the excitement of the crowd. You may fall in love with a new sport!

Go vegan.

You will be amazed at the cancer causing ingredients that are in the food and meats we eat. Every fast food commercial encourages the MEAT and CHEESE industries. Do you body and a favor and don’t consume it for 2 weeks and see how you feel. I guarantee you will reconsider eating less of those on a regular basis.

Invest in the stock market.

Take a class. Test the market. Read up on what is going on in the stock market because it honestly affects everything. Watch videos to get a complete understanding of how the stock market works with the benefits and risks involved. Start thinking about how you want to live when you retire. Make those plans early so you have a goal on what you will be doing when you are 65.

I know at a young age, most don’t think of some of the tips, but I hope this is an introduction to new ideas and a new outlook on the future.

Do you agree with these tips? Let me know in the comments!
